COOKIES.
YOUR CHOICE.
A plain explanation of browser storage and the essential-only setting used by this website.
Essential storage is used by default. Optional YouTube players load only for a video you choose. Essential only remembers the notice for up to 180 days; Cookie settings stay available in every footer.
What this site currently uses
The website uses essential storage by default. It has no site analytics or advertising pixels. The current Rocket League clips are local files served from this website. If an optional YouTube clip is added, it stays unloaded until you choose to load its player. Fonts and ordinary page assets are also served from this website.
Cookies are small values stored by a browser. localStorage is a different browser feature, but rules about storing or accessing information on a device can also apply to it. Calling something localStorage does not make those rules disappear.
Storage inventory
| Item | Purpose and duration |
|---|---|
Privacy settingtb-privacy-choice-v1 | First-party localStorage used to remember the essential-only setting you actively choose. Contains a version, essential/optional flags and saved/expiry times. Used for up to 180 days, then removed when next read. It does not contain your name, email or browsing history. |
| Normal page caching | Your browser may cache files such as images, fonts and styles to display the pages efficiently. This is ordinary delivery of the requested site, rather than an advertising profile. Browser controls can clear cached files. |
| Optional YouTube player | No YouTube clip is currently configured. If one is added, it is not loaded by default. After you choose Load YouTube video, YouTube/Google may use browser storage and process device and viewing information for playback, analytics or advertising under its own policies. Exact provider storage and lifetimes can change and must be checked on the configured live player. The page does not save permission for future videos. |
Cloudflare Pages delivers this site. Cloudflare may use necessary security cookies when the relevant protection or challenge features are active. The specific cookies and lifetimes depend on those features; its cookie documentation explains them. This site does not enable an analytics or advertising script. Hosting information is in the Privacy Policy.
What the controls do
The notice’s Essential only button saves the essential-only setting and closes the notice. It does not load YouTube or give permission for a new purpose. Choosing Essential only also removes a YouTube player that is currently loaded on that page. A separate, informed Load YouTube video action is needed to load an individual optional player.
The close button dismisses the notice for that page without saving a setting. You can continue browsing. Closing it, scrolling or following a link is not treated as agreement to optional tracking.
The preference is stored on the current browser and website origin. It is separate from any privacy choice you make on the Baran Performance website, another device or another browser.
This site uses essential storage only.
Loading and removing a YouTube video
The clip panel explains the YouTube connection before loading it. Choosing Load YouTube video loads only that selected player, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube may still receive your IP address, device and viewing information and use browser storage. It may process information outside the UK. Its own Privacy Policy explains its purposes and controls.
Select Remove YouTube player below the video, or reopen Cookie settings on that page and remove loaded videos. This removes the player and stops playback. It cannot erase information already sent or remove cookies controlled by YouTube; use your browser or Google controls for those. To avoid that connection, leave the YouTube player unloaded.
Changing or removing a setting
Select COOKIE SETTINGS in the footer on any page to reopen the notice. You can also remove localStorage and cookies in your browser’s website-data settings. Removing the record may cause the notice to appear again.
If browser storage is blocked, the essential-only setting still applies but cannot be remembered between pages or visits. A saved record is a convenience for remembering the notice, not a sign-in or a requirement to use the site.
Links and future changes
Following an external social or email link opens that provider’s service. Its own privacy and cookie practices apply there. An ordinary link here does not install that provider’s tracking code. An optional embedded YouTube player is a separate connection that starts only when you choose to load it.
New analytics, embedded media or advertising would need an updated inventory and an appropriate legal assessment before use. Where consent is required, the technology must remain off until a valid choice. This essential-only record cannot be reused as consent for a materially different purpose.
